All the organisational transformations I have experienced – as a leader or as a coach – inform how I consult now to create the right approach for your organisation.
As your leaders focus on speeding up digitalisation, creating hybrid ways of working and finding new means to reach customers, I help you look at the organisation’s culture and leadership behaviour. This is vital to sustain the innovations and change that are being put in place so rapidly.
While change can be exciting, many people are exhausted by the unexpected turbulence we face; the role of leadership is to give hope that all this effort will not be lost in the long-term. To do this means being aligned to purpose, not losing sight of values and having leaders that act with integrity, courage and compassion. All of this can be energising to employees.
Taking time to understand what is happening in the organisation - even with the need for speed - is key in order to
design a process that will bring about sustained change. I do this through confidential one-on-one interviews,
focus groups and surveys. You will get a thematic report enabling us to then agree next steps. These include:
Using your organisation’s purpose as your “north star” is at the heart of steering through turbulent change. In the unexpectedness of this turbulence it is easy to lose sight of that purpose. I design processes – all of which can be run virtually – to ensure your organisation’s sense of purpose is strong and present in all you do.
Values drive our behaviour, and during times of change when we are feeling lost or anxious, remembering our values can help us get back to solid ground. I use Hogan Assessments to help leaders focus on what really matters to them and identify what happens when they are under stress. Understanding this can increase self-awareness as well as a sense of personal agency which is often lacking under stress.
Most leaders have a good intent when it comes to their behaviour but often their reputation is misaligned with that intent. Through workshops that focus on feedback and peer coaching, I help leaders understand their reputation with their teams and other stakeholders. They identify what they need to do to strengthen or realign their reputation in order to make work a better place in which employees fulfil their potential and the business thrives.
